Gotta get better better better... I gotta get better better better...... ********************************* Stuck in the future Nothing else will matter I'm saving my own blood Watching life grow as it means to be without I gotta be different It's *all the same* now I can't tell the difference Theres a fork in the road passing by too soon ahhh (x2) ~~~~~~~ Oh it'll all take time, it'll just take time it'll all take time it'll just take time ******************** [Over the rainbow] life can always be better I can't solve my problems on my own Theres a system that spirals on both upwards and down I'm thinking it over. Over and over I can't keep my eyes on the ball Life throwing stones telling me to become my own ahhh (x2) ~~~~~~~ Gotta be better, better better [etc] Fork in the road passing by too soon, but... Why does it have to make me upset?

Thinkin about the future again why can't I live forever?

Listen to Me Why so irritable? You wouldn't even listen to what you'd have to say... These are my patterns They grow like data I cannot control [all of] them and that's why they don't [all] matter I find it takes me to a bad place to face those dangers that await something is right something is wrong, it feels like fate hard to escape the notion I hope I'm wrong but no one tells you that it's good when bad things happen it shows that you can do it now it's so good when bad things happen it proves that you can do it too if you'd just listen to me

about

When Buffalo experimental pop spectacles Lesionread and Space Cubs first toured across the USA in 2015, they met with the fact that there was a lasting connection between them worth exploring. This year the two local producer/singers are teaming up once again to unleash music together, coming out with a "Summer '16" split cassette.

"Like any good musician, Lesionread knows how to morph, transform, and evolve." -- Cory Perla of The Daily Public
Lesionread first became known for a punk devil-may-care approach toward a colorful and theatrical style sharing the stage with international acts like Mac Demarco, Melt Banana, and Neon Indian. Over the years while traveling as a solo act, Lesionread garnered the attention of many fans as well as attained fantastic reviews via Bullet Media, Impose, Flavorwire and more. Today Lesionread is a full live instrumental band, comprised of Jamie Sunshine on drums (of Volver), Reggie Clark on bass (of Planet Three), while still lead by the creative vision of Shawn E. Lewis. The band was recently featured as a 'band to watch' Buffalo Spree's WNY Music Issue, with a focus on the new band dynamic.
"Lesionread does not throw your typical play-the-set and-go-home type of shows. Abstract images appear on a screen, colorful lights flash, and people in red suits dance on stage as the band performs. For many, this is what original music in Buffalo looks like" --Sara Ali of Buffalo Spree

Suzanne L Bonifacio started releasing music officially as Space Cubs in 2011. Digitally processing her own gospel inspired vocals, her music reverberates powerfully with a satisfyingly haunting quality. Her beats pulsate and twist with the finesse of artists like Aphex Twin and Bjork, earning her big crowds performing with Ratatat at Grand Rapids Theater last October, and a new partnership with Unspeakable Records out of LA. Chris Daly of "Passion Of The Weiss" describes it as "Mood music for smoked out dungeons in the crackiest parts of your city."
